Blessings in a Book Bag would like to thank the community businesses, and organizations that support and honor us.

** To Be Honored By Your Peers ** I want to thank the brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity for honoring me as The Citizen Of The Year in Savannah Ga. Awards are nice, but the ones that come from your respected peers are at another level. Last night I stood in front of strong African American men who are Dentist, teachers, lawyers, community servants, and Civil Rights Activist and they stood to there feet and applauded as I entered the room. They shook my hand and told me to keep fighting the good fight and that they were proud of the work I am doing in the community. I'm sure they thought they were honoring me...but I was honored to be in a room full of my respected peers. I thank you and I won't let you down. I will continue SERVE.

CANYON RANCH

So remember that time I had that dream that I received a scholarship with a group of 3 other non profit organizations and were awarded the Healthy World Scholarship to go to Canyon Ranch in Arizona on a scholarship and meet the 17th Surgeon General of the United States and learn tools on how to serve my community and city better? Wait a minute...That all actually happened.
